UPDATE 2/24/2026: The snow we received last week is hanging on so we are moving forward with the Langlauf for this coming Saturday 2/28!
Durango Nordic Ski Club’s toughest and most iconic race! The Pine Needle Langlauf freestyle event features big climbs, thrilling descents, and incredible mountain views, all on top-notch snow. Stick around afterward for Carver Brewing Co. green chili, Ska Brewing/Coca Cola/Bread refreshments, music, prizes, and schwag for all participants.
This race is the grand finale of the Salomon Southwest Nordic Race Series, where the King and Queen of Nordic Skiing in the Southwest will be crowned!
The Salomon Southwest Nordic Race Series events are/were Grand Mesa on Dec 6, Pagosa Cabin Fever on Jan 10, Chama Chili Ski Classic on Jan 17, Cancelled: Flagstaff Pondo Classic on Jan 31, Cancelled: Telluride Butch Cassidy on Feb 14, and our very own - Durango Langlauf on Feb 28.

Halftelauf 15K | 9:05 a.m.
Mittellauf 7.5K | 11:00 a.m.
Kurzlauf 3K | 11:15 a.m.

12:15 p.m. – Awards Ceremony
