Over a foot of snow has fallen since 4 PM last night at the Nordic Center and still coming down hard this morning (2/22).
A wonderful place for a picnic...
Despite the center getting pounded with snow, they are ready for the second day of the Colorado High School State Championships race this afternoon starting at 3pm (schedule here). Our groomers have the high school race course groomed after driving around in circles overnight to keep ahead of the snow. Today, the groomers turn their attention towards the Langlauf course. It's definitely tricky and long hours taming a couple feet of snow and trying to get everything ready for the races today and the Langlauf on Saturday.
By the way - The forecast Saturday looks sunny. Should be beautiful skiing this weekend at the Center!
