Nordic Center Opens December 16th

The Nordic Center will be open to the general public on December 16th. Check out our events page for information about upcoming races, clinics, full moon bonfire events, live music and other happenings at the Nordic Center. Lots of new and exciting events are planned including:

  • A staple event for many, Coke Race Series, is scheduled for December 24th, January 14th, and March 4th.
  • New this season is the McDonald's Twilight Nights Races for skiers, snowshoers, and fat bikers. Not for the lighthearted, this short track race series is on 4 consecutive Wednesday nights in January and February. Held at the Base of Purgatory Resort, the course goes up, down and around the base area and concludes with a huge raffle at Purgies - each week. Certain to be a good time for all!
  • The Pine Needle Langlauf is back stronger than ever with the addition of live music, BBQ, Ska Beer, kids events, and more sponsored by Animas Orthopedics. Build confidence and skills to tackle this with the Langlauf Clinic Pack, 2 skate clinics plus your entry fee for $60 (a $20 savings).
  • Not into racing? or just looking for an excuse to enjoy the trails lit by a full moon? Join us at the Nordic Center February 9th and March 11th for the Full Moon Bonfire Events. We will keep you warm by a big bonfire outside, well nourished with catered food, and hydrated with refreshments provided by Ska and CocaCola of Durango.

We are looking forward to an amazing 2016-17 season!
